A directional alarm clock that wakes one person without disturbing others. 

Solo Riser uses a phased ultrasonic transducer array (40 kHz) to focus sound into a narrow, steerable beam aimed at a specific pillow, avoiding room-wide noise typical of traditional speakers. Designed for shared spaces like couples or roommates, it combines compact form and precise audio control with an open-source, repairable system built from off-the-shelf parts and 3D-printed components, reducing waste and enabling reuse. While assembly complexity and cost may limit accessibility, its parametric sound technology and circular design approach offer a distinctive, customizable alternative to conventional alarms.
